What is Nervonic Acid Powder?

It is an extremely long chain monounsaturated fatty acid, well purified, with a 24 carbon backbone. The molecule (CAS No. 506-37-6) has one double bond at the 9th carbon from the methyl end in cis-configuration.

This ultra-long chain fatty acid is an important structural component of the myelin sheaths of the nervous system. It is critical in the processes of development, maintenance and repair of myelin.
