Cellulose (CMC) Powder, technically known as Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, is a high-performance anionic water-soluble polymer produced from natural cellulose by extensive chemical modification. Shaanxi Nuoyuan Biotech offers high quality FVH8 grade CMC with uniform viscosity profile made in our 30000㎡ ISO9001 certified plant with an annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes.

It is used as binder and disintegrant in pharmaceutical tablets and provides regulated drug release.
For oil drilling, our CMC controls the viscosity of the mud under high salinity conditions and reduces fluid loss to the porous rock formation. This substance is an integral part of detergent formulas due to its anti-redeposition capabilities which establish protective barriers on fabric fibres.

Manufacturing Process Excellence
Our manufacture is a regulated two step synthesis, alkalisation and etherification. 2. Treatment of the premium cellulose with sodium hydroxide to produce alkali cellulose. This intermediate is reacted in a slurry system of ethanol-water with sodium monochloroacetate by way of Williamson ether synthesis.
Purification after reaction comprises neutralisation and a few washes with methanol to eliminate sodium chloride by-products. The material is vacuum dried at 70°C, precision milled to required mesh sizes and packaged in moisture-barrier containers.
15 years of production experience to achieve optimum degree of substitution control, resulting in goods with predictable solubility and viscosity properties. Each manufacturing batch is tested for viscosity consistency, purity levels and microbiological safety before it is released.
